Charlestown Garden
project description
To seamlessly integrate a relocated 18th-century home from the Eastern Shore, irregular flagstone pavers lead guests through a grove of Magnolia trees to a terrace overlooking the spacious Pine Creek Valley.
A meadow beyond the property inspired an impressionistic version on-site, featuring flowering perennials, grasses and sedges, carefully selected to thrive among the surface roots of a mature maple and exposure to a southwest-facing slope.
Circulation to the rear of the property is guided by a block of Calamagrostis 'Karl Foerster' and Carex pendula.
